I suspect, the price he is selling the tank, light, and stand for is
about half of what he paid for it. That is, if he bought it new. So I
doubt he is making a buck! You should come up to Canada to shop for
something, it might open your eyes to the fact, that all things made
of equal quality, are not always sold at equal price's through out
the world.

I suspect thats Canadian Dollars which would conver to around 300 us
dollars. Be a pretty good buy too, if you had ever been in a Canadian
LFS and seen the prices they are charging.

I'm in Canada and I think it's asking a bit much for a used tank/stand, etc.
I can buy a new 55G with canopy, lights and stand for $300. I know his tank
is 77G but the point is "new" and not new.

maybe thats true but 300 is still not the best price but it isent that
