My male betta Sparky FINALLY built one for Beauty! The tanks are side by side, and he's been courting her through the glass. She just takes one look at him and goes all stripy (vertical) in lust. And she's so full of eggs! I've just been waiting for him to be interested enough. YAY!!!!

Congrats! My two male bettas, who are divided, have shown no interest
in each other whatsoever. LOL! - Lisa in Central Coast CA |

I am now annoyed at Beauty.
I introduced them nicely, "Sparky, this is your new girlfriend, Beauty. Beauty, this is your boyfriend Sparky." Stuck her in his tank with protection (hehe), meaning she was in a container. They seemed to be getting along fine 24 hrs later, so I let her out. He was actually quite a gentleman. She, on the other hand, was a complete chicken of the sea. 4 days later, I removed her, much to Sparky's dismay (he loved posing for her) because nothing happened. Anyone want sushi? lol |

Awww "chicken of the sea". That was cute, I'll have to remember that

Try separating them (that is, out of sight of each other) for 24-48 hours,
then re-introduce her to Sparky's tank (with protection of course). Why is betta love so complicated? -- John Goulden |

Yeah....a peice of paper will be fine....one thing that i have been
successful with is putting a miror brtween the two tanks so that the male gets all geared up....then show him the female.....whoa.... "winddancir" wrote in message . .. John D. Because I don't have any more space to move a tank to... I'm only allowed to keep fish in my bedroom, and unless I start stacking tanks...
