Default Little Giant Pump - hot

I have two of them that are pretty used and they dont get "that" hot. I
will check them out later but something to consider....

My LG pumps need to be oiled every 6 months.

I bought a used little giant pump3-mdqx-sc and after a few hours of
operation it is hot as a firecracker. I am assuming that the motor is

wore
out. If it is wore out, can it be fixed?

How hot does a new pump get under normal operation? Can you hold your

hand
on it?

Thanks

I can't hold my hand on the pump for more than two or three seconds. How
about yours? Where do I oil it?

Yes, I have no problem holding my hand on it. It is very warm, borderline
hot, but I can keep my hand on it indefinately. There are two small ports
on the motor. One in the front, and one on the back. That is where the oil
goes. I will try to bring in my digi-cam so I can get a pic for you.

Hi John, I finally remembered to bring my digi-cam to work today. I'll post
the pics in A.B.A. under LG pump.
