I stuck an LCD thermometer on my Betta tank, but it was a dud. I should have
realized when it did not "light up" that it was a dud, but I've never had one of these on a an aquarium before. So I purchased a replacement and tried to remove the old one. Well the outside layer peeled off and the black numbers stayed stuck on the glass. Any easy non toxic ways to get this off, razor blade, ice cube? TIA |

Is the tank glass or acrylic? For me, you can't beat a razor when you're
working with glass. With acrylic though, there is so much out there that will scratch or cloud the surface. Mar --------- Vet Tech student "Billy" wrote in message ... Razor blade, aye. Get some "Goof Off" or a similar orange based solvent. Works well on those
pressure sensitive adhesives. Dean "Bill Stock" wrote in message ... I stuck an LCD thermometer on my Betta tank, but it was a dud. I accidentally removed the handle on my tank top while cleaning water spots
with vinegar (top was off the tank), so vinegar also is good at removing pressure sensitive adhesives. srb "Dean A. Markley" wrote in message nk.net... Another option is to use rubbing alcohol if the sticker goo is on the
outside of the tank but make absolutely sure none of it ever gets into the water. Good luck and I like SRB's answer best so far. Later! "Bill Stock" wrote in message ... Good luck and I like SRB's answer best so far. Later! Thanks, I hadn't considered rubbing alcohol. It's a little close to the seam though, so I'm a little concerned it might affect the silicone. Think I'll try the winky first. "Bill Stock" wrote in message ... I stuck an LCD thermometer on my Betta tank, but it was a dud.
