Default SAB and anacharis

I use SAB (String Algae Buster) to control algae in my small pond (12' x 6'). SAB works fine but also kills anacharis which was thriving in the pond. Other pond plants are unaffected - pickeral weed, parrots feather, lilies, sweet flag. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there another plant similar to anacharis that is not harmed by SAB?
