![]() *** Quoting Nuchumyussel from a message to All *** Nu Thank you for your reply, but the reason I am confused is because the Nu water has been this way for three months now. Hi Evan! I'm new here so do not have the full thread. Is it a new tank still trying to cycle? I've never had that take that long before. Normally it's just a week or 2 then one morning it's suddenly crystal clear and stays that way. What have you tried already? xxcarol --- Telegard v3.09.g2-sp4 - 0rigin: SHENK'S EXPRESS, Sasebo Japan 81-6160-527330 (6:757/1) --- þ RIMEGate(tm)/RGXMod V1.13 at BBSWORLD * |

First off, the tank is indeed cycled.
The methods I have tried are thus: 1. Cutting Back on feedings 2. Cutting back on the time that the lights are on. 3. Adding extra carbon to the filter. 4. More frequent water changes. (Currently I'm doing 25% changes every other week.) 5. Adding "Crystal Clear" drops. They supposedly clump the bacteria so the filter can pick it up. 6. Moved to largest fish o a different tank. I am deperate will do anything suggested! Thanks for looking. Evan Davis |

Have you checked the various things you have in the tank? Rocks and stuff like that? You may have something that is leaching into the water in a slow dissolve pattern instead of any actual other problem. This is common hwen peope put their own little figurines in there that arent meant for fishtanks. Sometimes it kills the fish slowly, sometimes fast (when fast though, you usually figure out that the new figurine is the culprit). If you have kids, dont over look them dropping something in there. Charlotte, when she was 3, added milk once to our tank and for a short time, was dropping other things she didnt want to eat in there. xxcarol --- Telegard v3.09.g2-sp4 - 0rigin: SHENK'S EXPRESS, Sasebo Japan 81-6160-527330 (6:757/1) --- þ RIMEGate(tm)/RGXMod V1.13 at BBSWORLD * |
