removing scratches on used glass tank

I think he meant AT the bottom, not ON the bottom. I think he means on the
front glass near the bottom of the tank.

I have the same problem so if there is a solution, I'd like to hear it as
well. =)

Just bought a large used tank - it was some small scratches on inside of
glass at bottom - just enough to really bug me. Does anyone know how to
remove these? LFS have no idea. Thanks

I have a similar problem. In my case, it's a 29-gal that I've had for
about 20 years where I've in the past done some atrocious things to the
back of the tank to remove algae, then most recently, made the mistake
of getting the tank turned around when last it was set up. Now the back
is the front *ARGH*. It is possible to remove the scratches -- I've
done it before on window glass. It's painstaking work involving pumus
and rottenstone (and/or other polishing media), soft cloth and oil and a
LOT of elbow grease. Hardly worth it on the 29-gal; on a larger tank, I
might consider it depending on how superficial the scratches are and
their location. Anyway, if you come up with an easier way, please
share!
