Default Parrot feather in winter pond

Hi..

Try to overwinter Myriophyllum aquaticum outdoors. It's
in a container. Did bog it 60cm (23") deep into a pond last
october, frost-free I hope. It has been icy since Novenber.
Any suggestions or experiences? Thanks.

It usually comes back in spring even if it freezes at the surface of the
pond or tub.

Thanks. Will then put the container back to shallow water.
Hope, the plant lice it had won't survive that trip into
the depth.. :-)
