Anyone know if the Duetto DJ50 internal filter comes with filter media? I'm
just getting ready to p a large order at Big Al's and wanna know if I
should buy media for this filter or if it comes with it already.

Thanks,
Harry

I just got one for Christmas, and yes, it comes with the mechanical
filter pad, the biological filter pad, and the charcoal medium insert.

Both of the filter pads are easily cleaned, being fairly standard
coarse sponges. You may want to get a couple of extra charcoal inserts
though. It didn't look to me like there was any way to replace the
charcoal in the supplied insert that didn't involve sharp tools.

My early reaction to the DJ50, by the way, is that I like it a lot. I
have it in a ten gallon tank on my desk, and it's located two feet
from my 19" monitor. It's not causing any monitor image vibration at
all.

If you use the air injection feature of the DJ50, it does a really
nice job of chopping the air bubbles very fine, and is easily adjusted
without getting your hands wet.

It's also nice and quiet, with no noticeable vibration in my desk
surface.
