Default Fluval 304/305

Was it this group where we talked about these? I just noticed in my
newest "ThatFishPlace" catalog that they are selling the 305 now.
From the pictures, I don't see that much different. It is a different
color, black rather than light gray. they say there is a new intake
strainer, and it costs $20 more, catalog price, I haven't gone
shopping yet. Outside dimensions are the same.

I still say i like the Magnum 350 filters....for a canister filter they
are nicer and easier to clean the the fluvals...

i need to get back down there again soon. hopefully they start getting
in their pond stuff soon. i need some tadpoles...

I will just quietly put in a mention for the 5FX....absolutely brilliant
and painless to restart..don't know how much of the technology went into
the lower priced stuff...not compatible with the 304/404 pipe work though...

I'm not familiar with that one, who makes it?

Ah, it does look good. Also looks like it has more capacity than I'd
use.

i bought a 204 model, then went to a diffrent pet store, seen they have
205 now.. i was kinda mad, but looked at it, noticed there isnt much
diffrence but the strainer like u said, if u have a newer 2/3/4/04 yours
clamps, etc and other attachments are probably the same as the new one,
only things that i see a diffrence in is, the acsesories package, the
clamps that hold it closed which like i said if u have a newer 2/3/4/04
you will have them, the 404 my brother has is older, the clamps are
crapy, it u dont make sure there clamped good, u have a real big mess,
mine are nice, easy and diffrent...
