Default How much food to feed...

I have a 55 gallon with 5 medium orandas and a couple small ones, a 50
gallon with 15 small to medium pearlscales and 3 small lionheads... how
much do I feed them and how often? At present I feed them sinking
granules by ColorFin. What else can I feed them?
Also, I have a small lionhead that has developed what looks like a large
blackhead on his head, what can I do for that?
I live in a very rural area with one sub standard pet shop. Thanks.

one mouthful per feeding. that is, they will vacuum around and then head somewhere
and sit there chewing. gel foods may be the way to go if there is any floatiness.
use a Qtip with a bit of peroxide on it, then apply a little antibiotic CREME ..
human stuff get it in drug store.
with the internet there is no reason not to get anything anybody has in a big city.
I live in a big city and still show 85% on the net. I hate going to stores.

18 GF in a 55g tank isn't going to work for long unless you do constant
*large* water changes. Also, GF grow quickly and get large. Plan on buying
a few more 55g tanks.... :-)

how
much do I feed them and how often?

I feed my indoor GF 2 or 3 times a day. That's about all they can eat in
the AM and again in the PM with a light snack for lunch such as dried
ocean plankton or dried or frozen and thawed tubafex worms.

At present I feed them sinking
granules by ColorFin. What else can I feed them?

They need variety. Get some other pellets such as Hikari or Tetra GF
crisps. Mine (indoor fish only) also get thawed brine shrimp and other
"variety pack" morsels. They get a slice of fresh orange at least twice a
week. They nibble on the Plecos and ottos cucumber and zucchini. The
outdoor GF get some orange but usually only some mixed pellets since they
get natural bugs and other meaty crawly creepy things that hit the water.
The outdoor GF have better color than the indoor fish.

Also, I have a small lionhead that has developed what looks like a large
blackhead on his head, what can I do for that?

Have you checked Google = try goldfish+diseases. There are several
excellent sites that cover most GF problems you will come across.
