extra foam from skimmer when adding water to tank

Get yourself a RO/DI unit as soon as you can, (just google "Reverse osmosis"
and you'll find plenty of info and products.

I've tested my Tapwater with my TDS meter and even I don't drink it now, let
alone put it in my marine tank!!

Don't use those silly conditioners.

For removing clorine, all you need is sodium thiosulfate.
That's what "zip drops" uses. There are some other decent
dechlorinaters on the marked, but skip the silly conditioners.
