Default hagen nitrate and nitrite test kits?

Hi

I have a hagen nitrate test kit with three reagents.

I also had the nitrite test kit with 2 reagents.

When using these tests the first two reagents in each test kit seemed to
be the same to me.

Is this so?

If it is then obviously there is no need to buy both kits.

I seem to have lost the instructions with colour chart for the NO3 test
kit. I have googled the web abd groups and been to Hagens website but I
could not find an online manual and colour chart.

If any one knows where one is available I would be most gratefull or at
least just tell me how many drops of each reagent!!!!! Thanks in advance

Trev

Pardon me following up on my own post - but I did forget the obvious was
was to go to the LFS and have a look at new package! SO I now have the
intrcutions in my mind again for the moment.

It would still be nice to know if thery are online with the colour charts
though.

And just to be sure for Nitrates it is 5 drops of reagent 1 and 5 drops of
reagent 2 shake and then add 3 drops of reagent 3 and shake wait 5
minutes shake again and read off colur chart (thats of the top of my head
now I could be wrong!

The nitrite test is just 5 and 5 (only 2 reagents ) Thats why i asked
previuosy if they are the same as the first two reagents in the Nitrate
test!

I don't think color accuracy of most printers would be good enough.

They're the same, so you could just use the one kit.

Graham.

Thanks Graham

I suspected they were the same I guess it is just marketing to get you to
buy two kits instead of one!
