I have three fish I thought were pregnant. Two Black Molly's and a Sword.
They have huge bellys, and from my experience with fish from fishing, would appear to be pregnant. But its been too long I think. SOmeone here said they should have given birth within 30 days. Well its been a good two months and they just seem to stay fat. Am I possibly overfeeding just making them fat or are they pregnant and its just not time yet? |

If they are the Balloon Mollies their belly will look rather large anyway. Over feeding is also a possibility. Mollies have a gestation period of 28 days. However, they can hold sperm from one mating, and have several batches of fry from it. (neat thing that is....saving sperm for later use) |
