OK I have 2 yellow Damsels and a Pseudochromis
(the yellow one with the purple stripe going down the middle, nasty fish) I HATE these fish. I bought a fish trap, the canning jar one on ebay...caught me some snails I want to literally kill these fish, I've tried the feeding thing with the net. What else is there ?!?! Can they be blinded by a laser pointer ? Do they make little harpoon guns? How about if I lace some food with poison. I actually am about a week away from taking everything out and then putting it all back in minus 3 fish. Oh god that poor 6 line wrasse I just dropped in there today ! Any suggestions ? Chris |

Another trick is to go to the bait store, and get tiny
hooks, and go fishing for them. Rock,
Your fish are hardy which means they can handle a couple of days + without food. If your fish are desperate enough they will go in the trap. Go a day without feeding then the next day set the trap. Patience gwasshoppa... Maybe even get 'em hungry a bit longer than a day if you have to, what do you care??? ![]() Don't go runnin' off to grab a sandwich. When I wanted to rid my tank of my Pseudochromis, I took a 20 oz coke bottle
and cut the bottle neck off , and took the mouth portion of the neck , and stuck it inside of the other priece of the bottle. So the fish can get in and can't come out. (a dab of crazy glue kept it in place for me) After a 3 days of not feeding it, I took some food and placed it in the new trap and putit in the tank. After a few minutes, I had captured the menace of my tank. "TheRock" wrote in message news ![]() Ha ! I can imagine trying to snag one of those little guys. It's easier than you think.
You do have to put food on the hook :-) The hook method works best for the most aggressive fish because they are the first to get the food. Maybe a stupid question but why do you hate these fish so much?
The second questionb is if you hate them so much - why did you put it in the first place? ~m "TheRock" wrote in message news:4L73h.569$Ue.198@trndny03... Both very good questions. Ones I wish I had an answer for.
The yellow Damsels I can live with but the Pseudochromis I think has been responsible for the death of a neon goby, cleaner shrimp and a cleaner wrasse. And now I see him working on the 6 line. The Yellow damsels are digging out under the rock and knocking over a few corals here and there. They are also kicking sand up all over everything when they're creating there little tunnels in the sand. Lastly, I've just realized how nasty the Pseudochromis is. Mike you don't work for fish protective services do you : ) "Mike Lawford" wrote in message ... Maybe a stupid question but why do you hate these fish so much?
