I posted a RFI a few days ago and got a little advice before a couple of
guys hijacked the thread. Thanks to the ones who offered advice. Moved the tank today, think everything survived. And for anyone else contemplating moving one, here's what I did. Emptied the water down to the level of the sand (of course removed livestock and rock). I rented a device called a piano mover. Basically two two-wheeled dollies with jacks built in. Slip them under the stand, strap them together, jack the stand and tank up together and roll it up in the trailer. Couldn't have been easier. 100 gal tank and I could've done it by myself. Thanks again. |
