I just picked up a 2213 for dirt cheap on Craigslist. I plan to use it
supplement an HOB on a 55G that's home to one juvenile Oscar. I'm looking for recommendations on what would be best to stack it with. Any input would be much appreciated. |

For instance if this were a lower pH (sof****er aquarium); Starting on the bottom (which is where the water first enters the filter), I would add ceramic bio rings for bio filtration and coarse mechanical filtration, then Ehfi-Fix or any other media coarse fiber, then I would use a couple of poly filter pads for fine mechanical filtratrion and place a product such as Nirox Bio-Lif which softens the water and traps aeromonas and other bacterial pathogens. This of coarse is just one suggestion. Carl http://aquarium-filters.blogspot.com/ |
