I have a few piece of leathers of various types..... finger, cabbage
and toadstool etc that sort of go limp and just lay there, sometimes
turning a purple color.......If its been where its at for some time
and did fine, it may just be going through the so called shedding //
cleaning process. If water parameters are fine and lighting is good,
I would challk it up to being normal behavior.

Check water quality - has there been a sudden salinity change? Temp
change? What are your nitrate levels?
