Default diy ornaments or decorations

From the lack of search results, am I the only one that wants to do
this?

I can glue rocks together, but I want to make, carve, paint etc my own
decorations. I have used plaster of paris cloth type thing, actually
there is a whole line of products for model railroads. Of course it
all falls apart in the water so it has to be sealed.

Styrofoam has a ummmm, buoyancy problem, and clay is very
inconveinient.

Has anyone found an easier medium?

That's incredible! Several hundred pounds of bouyancy!!? Wow. Is it
very likely the silicon job will fail? I guess you make sure you do it
right the first time.

Maybe this is stupid, but I had a rather large structure in mind
similar to his. What about all the water displaced? Surely something
that big would eliminate 10-20 gallons from the tank. No?

I guess I hoped someone knew of a modelling plastic or something that
could be used.
