I have a 18" Pacu which has clearly outgrown its tank (75 gallon). I
live in NJ and have tried all of the local aquariums, retail stores,
restaurants w/ large tanks, tank cleaning services, etc. and have been
unable to place it w/ someone w/ a tank large enough. my
"psycho-fish" as i like to call him splashes water out of the tank,
slams itself into the sides of the tank and obviously does not have
the room he requires. If anyone is interested or has any suggestions,
I'm not looking to make any money, just looking to give him to a good
home. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Denise,
I will be stopping by at my local Petland tomorrow, I will let you know if
they'll take your pacu. But you'll need to bring it to them, I'm sure about
that!
Hey they might even give you some store credit . I brought back one of my
Red Devils last week, about 6" in size or so, I got a $20.00 credit!

Will let you know,
Mariana

Mariana,

thank you so much. i'm getting a little worried reading all these
notes on how he might be able to break the glass on the tank. the
sooner i find him a home, the better. it's not as easy as i thought
it would be!

i rescued him from a tank in Petco because he was head to tail against
the glass and they promised me he wouldn't get too big for my tank.
apparently they lied!

thanks again

The store just scares the hell outta me... The store where I live have
problems about keeping thier tanks clean nor do they seem to know how to
care for fish properly.. I never mentioned thier rodents did I? I have
pointed out to management on two or three occassions that thier rats have a
nasel viral infection, and they always ask me how I know... Well Duh...
