I should of discovered this yesterday:

anyone know what it is other than a good reminder to wear gloves when
handling live rock?

Yep, and then there's Fred, the mantis shrimp. He
will make his appearance later :-)

But yep, that's Harry the Hairy Crab. They just call
him Harry for short. :-)

How do I know their names? That's easy, just look at
their name tag on their shirt. :-)

Harry (as he is now known) is back under the rock.

we had another creature in our live rocks. it looks like a centipede. I only
get glimpses of it. very creepy. red in color with white little legs. do you
know what it is? there is one, at least, in both tanks. are they harmful?

Guessing you got the same thing I just recently asked about
here...bristleworms...and as I've been advised by the folks here,
they're helpful since they apparently eat detritus (there's a couple
of species which are harmful, but I've been told they're not commonly
found in live rock)
