Default Thread like worm?

I was sitting in the dark watching my tank in the lunar lights, when I
noticed on the side of my tank what I thought was a 2 -3 inch piece of
white sewing thread. The more I watched it the more it moved and then
I realized it was some kind of worm. It made a "U" turn and then
finally disappeared back into the sand. Anyone know what this may be?

I've actually seen a few of what you're describing as well, although
mine appear ot be much smaller, and I haven't caught much in the way
of movement...they seem to hang out in crevices on the live rock, and
at some point go back into hiding, come back out someplace else. Not
entirely sure what they are, I was under the assumption they were some
kind of baby bristleworm.
