Kewl, you've obviously put a lot of effort into it. I need more pictures
in mine.

NetMax,
Try and keep your front end as you have it, just text, no heavy graphics,
keep pictures down to essentials like id'ing fish or snails or plants.
Theres nothing worse than waiting for a graphics heavy page to load up,
especially us mere mortals who still use dial-ups!!!!!!!!

No graphics? Why have fish if you can't look at them. ;-).
You'll probably want to avoid my site then if you're using dial-up. And
definitly avoid the Lake Tanganyika photos labeled as "originals". They
could run over 2 megs each.

No I don't mean no graphics at all I mean only use graphics where its
necessary, for example plant photos or fish photos, or maybe explaining a
certain process of steps in photographs. No need for heavy banners and other
graphics on the homepage. Amateur, your site is different, I would
personally go to your website to drool over the amazing scenery you brought
back with you from the lake, I don't mind the wait, but if I had to wait for
10 mins for your homepage to load up just to get to the info then I would'nt
bother. Know what I mean?

I agree with Happy'Cam'per on having a 'light' home page and pictures
only as appropriate. I'm also on dial-up. Amateur's home page loads in
about 25 seconds, however that's well within my threshold for a high
quality site.
