Default Are goldfish supposed to turn white???

Hi.
Does anybody know if goldfish are supposed to turn white?
We've had a pond for 3 years and recently the fish have been changing
colour. They don't seem to be ill or anything so is this a natural
occurrence ?
Thanks for any help. Two worried children wait with bated breath.

Fish often change colour. I too have had "gold" fish turn completely or
nearly completely white. As long as your water quality is good & the fish
don't appear to be ill don't worry. Your particular fish are genetically
predisposed to be white. Hope this puts yours and your children's minds at
rest.

Thank you for your advice. The fish do seem happy and the kids have stopped
worrying, Bliss.
