Hi folks. I have a planted tank w/ hiding spaces containing about 12-15
tetras, a few otto cats,a pair of German blue rams and a pair of Apistogramma cacatuoides. These bully my poor blue rams chasing them away from the front of the tank. The rams have lost their nice color since I added the peacocks. Anything I can do to stop the bullying? They've taken over the front of the tank and won't let the rams near. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks! JC |

JC Peacocks are a type of open water fish from lake Malawi, but I presume your 'peacocks' are the cacatuoides. These apistos are not compatible with your Rams for the reasons you've encountered. You need another tank or to move someone out. Incidentally, apistos such as cacatuoides should be kept in harems (1M, 2 or 3F), so moving the rams out might only move you to another problem (an overly-harassed female cacatuoide). ymmv -- www.NetMax.tk |
