Looking to get a 120 reef gallon tank. Its going to be in the wall. I was
thinking of a 5 footer that was 24 inches high and 20 inches width. Or go with a standard 48x24x24 tank. What do you guys think ? Also what thickness of glass should the tank be built with ? And should the bottom plate be thicker? The lighting i was goign to use on this tank was 440watts of VHO's and 2-250 watt metal halides. |

Hi abc,
A 48 x 24 x 24 is a 120g tank. Most that I've seen are made of 1/2" glass. Your lighting sounds good to me. You'll probably want 4 actinic VHOs and 2 10,000K MH bulbs.
