Default Exploding tumor on head

It sure seems that way, anyway. I have a fairly large plain goldfish
that has a large tumor on the right side of his head. It is also
starting to travel a bit close to his eye. It has gotten larger, then
broken open twice now. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do for
him or if this is a painful condition that requires euthanizing. Thanks
for your help.

I had a vet treat a tumor on a goldfish, it came back, and the fish
later died. I doubt there is any pain associated with it, except what
you feel when you look at it.

Vets treating goldfish are expensive.
