Chances are your water is becoming depleted in these minerals, especially calcium carbonate. You can use something like Seachem's Equilibrium GH buffer to add these minerals to your water or you can dose them individually. Calcium carbonate can be added directly, but be wary of how much you add as it is an alkaline buffer so your pH will climb. the other one is in platys or mollys offspring never reach the size or colour of their parents Are you line breeding your platys or just letting the masses go at it? It could be a genetic deficiency or it could be just diet. Try feeding the fry more nutritious food like baby brine shrimp mixed with LOTS of green matter (such as crushed up HBH's 8 Veggie Flake). Platys are natural herbivores, but they need protein to grow large. |

I dunno wtf that all meant but either a digenetic trematode ( worm that uses
snail as host) or insufficent water changes to dilute the alpha males pheramones (stunts other fry) Lot of frequent feeds of high protien foods is also the go. Buff 'em up dunno what the rest of the stuff in ya post is about |
