Default What happened to Albert Thiel?

Does anyone know what happened to Albert Thiel? I read somewhere that
his website athiel.com was purchased by a company in GA.
I have a couple of his books, which reference his products but reach a
dead-end whenever pursuing his products.

Why don't you go there and check it out?

I have been to the website. It's mainly a collection of old articles.
Not much new from what I can tell. I haven't been able to find a recent
posting or article by A.Thiel. I think that's where I found out that
the website is now run by someone else. I thought that since he was
such an authoritative force in this hobby years ago, someone here would
know more about him.
Oh well....

The last that I heard from Albert was that he was in Florida working in
a non aquarium related industry. My understanding is that his last book
that was to be published had some problems with the publisher and it
ended up possibly bankrupting him, so he lost all of his interest in the
web site, his books etc.
