Default anyone own a "water wiggler?"

hi,

i have seen these devices advertised. they supposedley lightly agitate the
water in birdbaths thus preventing mosquitoes from laying eggs and also
attracting birds through the motion of the water.

i did a group search and while they are mentioned on occasion, i can't find
anything where someone says, "i have one and they are good, bad or
indiferent."

does anybody actually have one of these devices in their birdbath that would
care to elaborate on it?

thanks,

mike

Perhaps asking this on one of the "bird" Newsgroups would bring more
responses.

yes sir,

i did ask on rec. birds but i also thought that folks who take the time and
trouble to put a pond in their yard might also be prone to having a birdbath
also.

I'm sure many of us do. I have one but no wigglers are needed as the birds
find it themselves. :-) When the cold weather comes I clean it and put it
away. I'm near a lake so the birds can always find water. We also have
bird feeders kept full all winter. I really enjoy watching the birds.
