Default BAD SELLER ALERT: CORALS PLUS

Just wanted to pass along a very, very bad internet company to deal with.
To make a long story shorter I had ordered over $160.00 worth of livestock
and a light from coralsplus.com. After numerous phone calls to this place
and numerous messages left I finally get an okay that the order is ready to
ship except two items. I received an order that was horrible!!! Some of the
crabs I ordered were just shells, the "ELECTRIC" scallop I ordered was a
plain scallop, the 2 electric crabs I ordered were 2 cheap red leg crabs
instead, the neon blue goby I ordered was a engineer goby. All much cheaper
subsitutes. The coral I ordered was completely rotted!! Nothing even left of
it. Not to mention over $100.00 of things I didn't receive and was charged
for. I placed this order several weeks ago. I have made numerous phone
calls and when I finally get this older lady on the phone she tells me he
has my message and will have Brian (Owner is Brian Dowling) return my call
today. I've been told this same thing several times. Also, I get no return
on emails. After looking into the BBB online I find this company has had
many unresolved complaints and appears to be unreputable I just didn't
want anyone else to make the same stupid mistake I did. The old saying is
you live and learn!! Anyways, I'm pursing action through the credit card
company, Better Business Burea and IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center).
IC3 which is in partnership with the FBI appears to investigate the
complaint and send the info to the appropiate law officials. Again, just
wanted to pass along this info so someone else doesn't do the same dumb
thing I did. Sorry for the long letter

No need for you to be. Thanks for all the trouble you're taking. Many people
would just write off the loss and not even bother to warn anyone else.

That's the nice thing about the internet, is that
when a company is bad, you can report them on the
internet, and then when you are looking at buying
from a company, you can search the internet to see
what other people are saying about them.

I would recommend that you immediately charge your
cc back on the grounds that they did not ship to you
the things that you ordered, and that the few things
that they did ship were not what you ordered, and
were of poor quality, and that they have not made
any attempt to fix the situation.

Thanks guys. I've already started the process of doing a charge back. I
used a credit card/debit so I'm not sure if the process is all the same as
using a plain credit card. I feel like those people on television you see
that get "swindled" out of money and your thinking wow I wouldn't let that
happen to me. Just wish I would have done a BBB check on him before hand.

Who is this KurtG and why does he have to use this really bad
language. I have not visited this site for a long time and this is
one of the reasons. The other reason is often the subject appears to
be some personal stuff that only a few people are chatting
about....like wow - I'm going on vacation,,,see ya later susan, tom,
bob etc...Is it really necessary to throw all that "do you swallow or
spit" into what appears to be a nice discussion about a company that
maybe we should watch out for....

Moira,
Be sure to look at email addresses - most of the foul language posts are
by our resident trolls, spoofing our nicknames.

The real KurtG is Kurt Gueunther, and he does not use foul language in this
forum. There's an idiot posting to this group who changes his "From" address to
impersonate other posters. That's the author of that post. Checking the full
header will allow you to tell which posts are genuine.

If you're using Mozilla, some of us can help you set up filters to screen this
clown out.

That's just our friendly troll. Just filter them out and create a white
list.

There are some moderated forums around. I'm on

Thanks for the assist George. Good weekend but I woke up to -25 degree
