Default Rescued fish help

Hi All

I went to a wedding at the weekend and they had White Cloud Mountain Minnows
and Danio's as table decorations. They didn't know what to do with them at
the end of the evening and I said that I would take them as there was
suggestions that someone was going to take them to put them in their outdoor
goldfish pond (obviously in the UK if they didn't get ate by the gold fish
they were surely going to die of the cold).

To make a long story short I went and brought a 27l (6 UK Gallon) tank today
and set it up and have put the fish straight in as I haven't had a choice.
I have 3 Danios and 5 WCMMs in there... The question is that I cannot get a
filter/air pump to them where I have them. I saw in the pet shop they have
what is like a tea bag filter that you lay on the bottom on the tank. Has
anyone ever used these and do they actually work?

If needs be I was looking at getting a battery operated filter run by an air
pump.

Any suggestions or advise?

Thank you

If you plan on keeping these fish, they'll need a larger tank, and
filtration. I'd double check on the temp's Danios require. The White
clouds can handle cooler water (more like goldfish).- Hide quoted text -

Dumb assed Brits know better than this or do they really know any
better. Guess thats what happens in a cross breeding country like
UK. Still dumber is spending money ona tank setup and knot knopwing
what they hell you were doing to begin with. Just as stupid as usisng
fish for table decorations. Flush them and forget them.........they
are just freaking fish anyhow! Besides what do Danio and white clouds
have to do with a goldfish group anyhow!
