Awhile back, I set aside a 25g aquarium for the culture of Marimo Balls,
no fish in it. All the data I have read on them call them slow growing, and this may be true--in their natural habitat. But, as necessary, a few drops of Shultz Liquid Fertilizer (10-15-10 and NO copper), a bit of lime, calcium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, micro-nutrients (NO copper) and warm water--78-80f, fairly frequent water changes and they pearl (throw off oxygen bubbles) and grow like crazy. I tossed some Elodea into the tank and get an inch or two growth on each strand a day! It is the biggest, stoutest, most beautiful and healthy looking Elodea I have ever seen ... Now I am thinking about cultivating the Marimo Balls in a 350g aquarium and supplying stores in my area. As, only two have them and they $10.00 a piece, for small ones! Regards, JS |

Some are more reasonable, even with shipping, then they can be purchased for in my area. Here is one lady who appears to love them: http://www.greenculturesg.com/articl...07_marimos.pdf Regards, JS |

Do you expect me to contemplate, react or be lead away from my path by them? Is this/that how you live? Hell, maybe I am missing something ... Regards, JS |

Regards, JS So Johynny Boi SMith, do yu feed the hair balls spunk from your daily wanking feasts or just rely on the skanky nasty crap that washes off your momma when she gets a bath in that 90 gal; cesspool you call a tank. What about all the crap that your wife and momma has that won't was off? |

What kind of lighting and nutrients do you use in that 90g? I've noticed that if I keep mine in a tank with 3.25 WPG (no added nutrients), they get some green hair algae growing on them but they do very nicely in a tank that's at 2 WPG (again, no added nutrients). -I |
