ok, NetMax's web site

It's a bit clunky and slow loading, but it's holding together. My menu
is not 100% happy with Netscape, but I'll be changing it anyways, because
I can't bookmark easily to pages. The Links Pages is about 20% finished,
and the drawings are too big and slow (fortunately only 3 or 4 pages have
drawings right now). I need to learn to make thumbprints and use much
lower resolution drawings.

So it's a work in progress, but it will always be, because I have lots of
plans for it ). If you're a regular reader here, then much of it will
be familiar (cycling a tank, selecting rocks, etc), but there are a few
~different~ sections, like stocking methods:

Wow.

Lots of info there. Personally, I think that the shear amount of good
info that you have written and/or collected outweighs any clunkiness to
the HTML. I didn't have any problems getting around. The only thing that
I noticed is that the counter seemed to update every time I looked at a
new page, so I was getting multiple counted, I think.

Not bad at all, if only you wasn't using frames and that ugly javascript for
the menu is not that good either.

The information on the site is great and there is a lot of goodies in there
:-)


Netmax: Use http://validator.w3.org/ to check the validity of the html code,
they give a lof of very good help / explanations to why ones html code fails

I use Opera. The pages loaded fast enough. Did you mean to leave a
lot of unused space or is that due to my browser?

I could move using the links. I could only go to the page from the
links you provided in the newsgroup.

I would never read so much text unless I had a current interest. I
would want an index page (home page) that offered such information and
then be able to select from that.

Good luck, it appears to be a very ambitious project.

I'm running a variety of browesers on PC, MAC and *nix platforms.

The site design theme is great, really appeals to the eyes.

The only comment I have is at the resolutions that _I_ use (1280
x1024) the blue background becomes a square of blue that only takes up
about 80% of the screen.

The absolute sizing works for most people. There are a few of us out
here that use these high resolutions.

If you wish to continue with the frames, put an inline frame in place
that will fix the veiwable area to your prefered width and height, and
the text will remain in there.

After that... I like, and plan on sharing with many people who need
the help, and experiences that you have had, and compiled.

Free thumbnail maker: http://www.minostudio.com/ I use it to make the
thumbnails on http://www.americanrecycler.com/adlinks.html.

It has an option to make html+thumbnails but I've found it much easier to
only do the thumbnails. First step (which they don't really tell you) is to
copy all the pics you want to make thumbs out of into a folder all its own
(mine is called 'thumbnails to be created' Then open & use the
program...

My only comment is "Thank you". I only read for about 15 minutes last night
and already learned a thing or two. This is destined to be up there with
The Krib. Especially for those of us who are new to the hobby and can get

Nice site man. Great info, great links, your off to a hell of a start!
My newest bookmark:-). It loaded fine, and fast using internet explorer,
the version that comes with xp pro. I do have dsl though. I've never
seen a store with tanks even close to as nice as yours, that's really
something to be proud of.
