Default What filter?

I want to by an external filter for my 120litres fish tank. At the moment
I'm trying to choose between Eheim 2224 (prof.) and 2026 (prof II).

Which one could you recommend? Wouldn't 2026 be too "powerful" for 120
litres? But I've read there is no such thing as too much filtration.

Thanks in advance.

Alex.

There may not be too much filtration, but the 2026 may be too much current
or flow for whatever fish you'll be housing... maybe just run 2 smaller
canisters, or 1 canister and 1 HOB filter... the options are endless....

I think the 2026 has an adjustment for flow; but I like the idea of two
canisters!

Confirm, the 2026 *does* have a flow adjustment, I have mine at full
blast on my 180 liter tank, and the fish seem fine with it.

a cannister plus a hob filter is a great filter combo . Yes- you can never have
too much filtration. Eheim makes some of the best cannister filters you can
have.

Take the 2026 or the middle Model from JBL Pro-250; that one is even
better than the eheims. More Volume. I don't know, if they sell it in US.

The 2024 is to small for a normal stocked community tank. It did not
work out with my 200 l tank.
