I am trying to track down some BZT for my pond - everytime I see it
mentioned here it sounds good - please could you let me know which BZT
product you use to help clear the pond bottom
Not sure which one of these I should be getting:
BZT Waste digester
BZT Aqua 4U
or BZT Aquaculture

(still kicking myself for not putting in a bottom drain.....)

TIA

I'd like to know what's involved in a bottom drain. Since I'm a newbie, is
there a FAQ for this newsgroup so I don't have to keep bugging everyone with
my questions? Kirsten

Not sure where the FAQs are for this group now, I use to have a link on my
website, but when I did a recent check, many of my links were obsolete.

As far as bottom drains go, if you click on *My Filter* *Demon Pond Filter*
and *My Lily Pond* you will see a not-thru-the-liner bottom diagram at My
Filter, a thru-the-liner bottom drain at Demon Pond Filter and the plumbing
that goes underneath the liner on My Lily Pond pages. ~ jan

Default Kirsten's new house (was BZT)

Thanks Anne for the reality check--I think it's easier to concentrate on my
pond than think about the house! So I'll calm down and just lurk awhile...

Kirsten, I'm going to go into "Granny mode" here! You need to focus,

girl!

Your original post began:

"Hi, I recently bought a 1923 bungalow in Atlanta, and I inherited a small
pond (about 4 feet across, maybe 2-3 feet deep) with one fish"

I know that the folks here in rec.ponds are a wonderful bunch of people

with
*tons* of information to help you out......... but...... Granny Annie
suspects that the reason you are so active on the rec.ponds newsgroup is
because you don't have anyone else to talk to you about dealing with a
house. (My hubby and I thought we knew all about taking care of a house,
until we bought our first one -- fortunately, we hoity-toity college

grads
had a fallback, "Um, dad, I have a question?")

Before I forget ('cause I will, sigh....), I'll post a link to the

rec.ponds
FAQ http://www.geocities.com/justinm090/faq.html

Also, Kirsten, a bottom drain is undoubtedly a good thing for some ponds
that are built from scratch. Unless, however, your pond already has one,

I
urge you to look at other projects around your house first.

In the meantime, I'll see if I can't find a newsgroup for new homeowners.

Good luck! and keep us posted,

Anne Lurie
