I will be out of town for 9 days, and I will have someone feed my reef
aquarium for me while I am away. I am trying to simplify the feeding regimine as much as possible. The simplest plan would be to feed flake food, and golden pearls at the same time. Further I thought I could simply mix the flake food together with the golden pearls in a small plastic bag for each feeding day ( plan to feed every other day) which I could place on a table next to the aquarium. Any thoughts if the golden pearls would go bad after a week or so at room temp? |

If anything, whatever is in your tank will clean out every last scrap and you'll probably lower the DOCs and muck anyway. |

As Golden Pearls are not cheap, you might put a little of it in a smaller
container, like a self-sealing salt shaker perhaps? Keep the majority in your fridge. Or teach your tank-sitter to open the refrigerator and get out the Golden Pearls when needed.
