Default Golden Pearls at Room Temp 1 Week O.K.?

I will be out of town for 9 days, and I will have someone feed my reef
aquarium for me while I am away. I am trying to simplify the feeding
regimine as much as possible. The simplest plan would be to feed
flake food, and golden pearls at the same time. Further I thought I
could simply mix the flake food together with the golden pearls in a
small plastic bag for each feeding day ( plan to feed every other day)
which I could place on a table next to the aquarium. Any thoughts if
the golden pearls would go bad after a week or so at room temp?

I wouldn't even worry about feeding if you're away for nine days. If
anything, whatever is in your tank will clean out every last scrap and
you'll probably lower the DOCs and muck anyway.

As Golden Pearls are not cheap, you might put a little of it in a smaller
container, like a self-sealing salt shaker perhaps? Keep the majority in your
fridge. Or teach your tank-sitter to open the refrigerator and get out the
Golden Pearls when needed.

In article OxW2b.17474$Qy4.3978@fed1read05, says...
the best aproach I have found is those medicine trays they have 4 boxes for each day, fill
each one with flake and golden perls as needed, stick the entire thing in the fridge then
the feeder only has to empty the apropreate box into the apropreate tank on the correct
day, and the food stays a tad better, problem solved

ps the boxes cost bout $10 at a common drug store

I use the little containers folks use to make Jello shots in.
Purchasable at most liquor stores for $5 for 200 containers.

Just made up a batch of 'em for our petsitter.
