I know this is off topic however, a large number of you appear to have
viruses. That notice from Microsoft you got in your email about a security patch was not from Microsoft. It was a virus...To kill it see the link. http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_100662.htm Also I saw this one: http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_99273.htm If you don't have anti-virus get it, if you have it keep it up to date. NEVER open anything you are not expecting! |

Swen Worm Infects Over 1.5 Million Computers
By Jay Lyman TechNewsWorld September 19, 2003 Story is he http://www.technewsworld.com/perl/story/31632.html Virus utility programs don't differentiate between *virus* and *worm*.. they call everything you don't want on your computer a *virus* even if it is not.. They are very different problems though. Teeb "Brian & Mary Adams" wrote in message ... I know this is off topic however, a large number of you appear to have viruses. for those still being plagued with hundreds of these worms in your inbox --
try this anti spam program. I am running it and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE it. It filters out all the crap, and let's in the stuff you want. You customize to suit you, and before an e-mail can get to you, the sender has to verify himself, something spammers never do. You can always check the box on their website for stuff you think should have gotten through -- but it never does. It's quick, easy and you can try it 30 days free -- check it out. http://spamarrest.com/affl?2461001 michelle "Brian & Mary Adams" wrote in message ... That is pretty interesting.
Since you've used it, can you tell me more specifically how it works? From your point of view as an end user. Do you still use your own email program as you did before? Does your email route through their company's server first (basically holding it for you0? I've heard of this before. I don't like the way it works, with the verification thing. I think it might hurt my eBay business. G |

I think that is exactly what it does.. I don't like the idea of someone else
possibly getting my email in the guise of *scanning it for spam* even though I am sure it's a legit service. I also refuse to pay someone to do it. You can set up your own filters easily enough. And as Thomas said, you also run the risk of not getting important things because some one else has decided for you what is spam and what isn't. One person's *spam* is potentially another persons livelihood. And I am not talking from the perspective of the spammer there, lol. I at one time filters out web email comains such as hotmail and yahoo because alot of spammers use them to spoof return addresses. Problem with that is, alot of people on EBay use those domains for correspondence. I was always finding things I needed to get had been filtered to my delete file. Thanks Cap, I really like what I'm seeing so far. Did you register yet? How
long is your registration good for? Marc CapFusion wrote: I agree with Teeb.
