I have being experimenting with feeding my fish some of the stuffs I
eat. Here are some results: I have Danios, Platies, Swordtails, Gouramis and others. I found that mushed peas were surprising well received. Broccoli and zucchini were eaten but without much enthusiasm. I shredded a mid-sized shrimp and threw it in my 2 tanks and it was consumed within 2 days. The swords and platies loved the shrimp. My 2 Blue Gouramis seem to the least picky of my fishes. I really love my Gouramis, too bad I can't keep more than one per tank. I will probably try feeding them some beef next. Any suggestion on what else to try? |

In water at 25C that is teeming with bacteria and funghi by what magic did you stop the stuff from rotting? Peter -- Add my middle initial to email me. It has become attached to a country |

The only people food I feed my fish is frozen peas. My festivums can't
get enough of them. I just drop in a couple frozen and they are gone in 5 min. If one does happen to get past the festivums, the pleco gets it. You know I just re read that post, If I fed them food like that, I would only leave it in the tank a few mins. Kay |

Every now and then I feed my Zebra Danios and the Angel Fish that they
share a 20 gallon tank with, a wee bit of oatmeal flakes, which they quickly gobble up. Other than that, I only feed the fish in my care standard fish food, and occasionally very small crickets [Acheta domestica] which I raise myself, to my Bettas splendens/Siamese Fighting fish. ~Dean. |
