Spawning mop

Have any of you guys ever made a spawning mop? How do you make a good one?
How far apart should the strings be, what material, how many of them so on?

I use spawning mops all the time for my rain

here you go. I use them all the time for my rainbows or alternately I use
floating hornwort and simply take the plant out and put it in a hatch out
tank.
