Do you use RO/DI water, or out of the tap? If using RO/DI how old are
your filters? I am finally winning a 4 month battle with red slime and hair algae that appeared out of no where. Turns out my filters were bad and once I replaced them the red slime went away and the hair algae is slowly disappearing. If you are not using RO/DI water I would strongly recommend it. Ken Richard South wrote: Need help in knowing how to get rid of red slime algae. I have already used slime away, it got rid of some of it, that was close to 2 weeks ago. I know that the red slime algae is one of the oldest forms around, just how do you get rid of it. 70 gal 8 tudes (30W, 1x blue actinic, 3x18000k,4x6700K) amo 0 nitrate 0 nitrite 0 ph 8.3 sal 1.024 calicum 420 lighting is on 11 hours a day only feed twice a day have one small blue tang anoeme (however you spell it) with two host two small yellow chromis 1 blue devil 1 lawmower blenny cleaner sprimp 1 clam have skimmer power head and mech filter Want to set up some coral in another month or two Any help would be much appreciate Thanks Richard |
