water changes
I do water changes with ro/di water. I take out 5G, and I have a 5G pail of
fresh water mixed to 1.023. Is there anything else I should be adding to the water when I mix the 5G pail or is all I need already in the salt mix? I use red sea salt. Another thing that gets me is my water's only pH 7.9. Do you recommend I do a water change with water at 8.0, then 8.1, then 8.2 until the tank gradually gets up there and add some marine buffer to the system when it gets there so it stays? How slowly should I do this so I don't shock my fish? TIA. John
