Evening all, I'm looking for opinions on whether it would be OK to add a
couple blue rams to my 75gal (50% plants, plenty of driftwood) community
tank? I already have a pair of kribs in there and would like to add rams,
but am wondering whether this will cause problems. My main tank is a very
happy place so I dont want to upset the other 70 or so occupants. (The
others include corys, clown loaches, eels, bettas, a redtailed black shark,
gouramis, zebras, neons, hockeysticks, platies, etc.)

Number one priority is not having fish that bully others--I can't bear
watching that. Thanks for any comments.

Kribs are a tougher fish than Rams and in a smaller environment would
certainly bully them around IMO. Almost all cichlids see other
cichlids as competitors, moreso than they consider other fish families
to be competitors. But your tank is large enough with enough shelter
that I think they will be fine; I wouldn't hesitate to put the Rams in
there if it were my tank. The first days you may see the Kribs chasing
the Rams when they see them, but the Rams will find some place on the
other side of the tank and keep out of the way. I've never had Kribs
who have gone out of their way to bully other fish, like searching
through the 75 gallons looking for the other fish intentionally, to
chase them.

Otherwise, the addition of Rams will not upset any of your other fish.
