Default General update on my non-mammalian pets....

I just got my 4 kuhli loaches today and I am happy. They appear to be
happy as well. All fish are doing great except for 1 fancy guppy as
once I saw him with mouth fungus I couldn't get him out of the fancy
guppy tank (and put into the hospital tank)fast enough and now he is
lost in the cloud of fancy guppies I have in that tank. I haven't seen
him since. It's a bummer when I can't get into the tank fast enough. Oh
well - I will keep an eye open for him and see what happens. Just as a
side note I easily found an awesome home for my red ear slider turtle,
it's an outdoor pond that a lady who loves turtles owns and takes care
of turtles in. My plants are doing good to o.k.. I think my silver
dollars ate the 2 crypts I put in there. The anubias is doing fine
(hasn't grown much yet but I understand that's normal for this plant),
the water wisteria is growing pretty good and it is growing good roots
(I like to float mine - light is closer and thus more intense for
plants to grow faster). The java fern seems to be picking up speed in
growth. The hornwort that has grown in my bedroom tank is growing good
and it's original stems are browning but the kuhli's will probably
clean that up and the pond snail population should be kept under
control by the kuhlis as well. The amazon sword has grown some after I
started giving it plant food. The fancy guppies in the shallow turtle
tank are doing great and I haven't even seen any of them eaten or even
chased by the turtles (one a species that would outgrow the 55 gallon
tank was dropped off at the lfs/pet store for a better home given how
big they can get) and the remaining turtles' diet is changing as I have
1 or 2 of the small (a species very small even as adults) turtles
accidentally overfed (bloated - I discussed it with others at
rec.pets.herp ) and other than that I have a supply of pet foods and
basking lights on the way for all. I must say I am very happy - now if
I could just find that one previously mentioned fancy guppy.....
