Default Protein Skimers ?

I'm setting up 40 gal Hexagon tank (not a reef) Just going to use for
fish only. Triggers-Tangs-Clowns-Butterflys-Angels

using

2-Ehiems (2015)
2-powerheads for under gravel filteration

1.Will I really need a protein skimer or will the media with in the
2-Ehiems filter be OK? Do I realluy need 2 Ehiems or just 1, maybe 2
is overkill?

2.What is the best thing to use to start up the niatrate cycle?

3.When should I add the Amquel?

THKS/Rick

I have had Sal****er aquariums before but there are alot of new
products on the market now and I want to be sure I have a really good
setup.
