Mollies

Hi

I have 4 mollies (2 black and 2 silver lyretail). Two of each gender.
Both females have been pregnant for a little while. The black one has
been pergnant longer. This I know because the silver one gave birth
not long after I got her (I still have two fry left). Anyway, the
black one has clearly given birth during the night as I have 7 more
(at least) fish in the tank!

The problem is now that she is no longer pregnant both males are
behaving in a very ungetnlemanly manner towards my black female. In
fact they are behaving more like Premiership footballers than
gentlemen. She is mooching about the tank in her normal manner,
looking for food, attempting to eat her own babies etc but she is
constantly accompanied by two males who spend their entire time
"roasting" her, not to put too fine a point on it. I was going to take
the two silver ones back today and swap for a black female a/ because
I don't really like them and b/ so that the two females could share
the attention of the single male. However, I am now worried that if I
get a pregnant one then my lad will ignore her and continue to harass
the new mum.

She's not much of a mum, mind you. I'm pretty sure I now only have 6
fry!
