jade eye cichlid and convict cross - will fry be sterile?

Hi,

My male jade and female convict have bred and are now guarding the fry
religiously which is cool

was wondering if the fry themselves will be able to breed when they
mature, or are they sterile like a mule? cannot find any info on the
net about this!
