Hello to everybody. Just a quick question to ask about 'floating
pellets' for goldfish. Does this not go against everything I have ever read about feeding goldfish? Would this not encourage swim bladder problems? I went to my local Petco and they were the only pellets I could find. Very confused. Going on Vacation soon for 2 weeks and was going to get an automatic feeder for the 55g. Problem there is my Ryukin is suffering from what I guess is constipation as she floats on and off. I starve one day a week and have cut feeding down. So I thought that maybe I'll just get my friend to come over a few times during my vacation and give them a measured amount. The problem I now have is my single fry. He will be about 7-9 weeks old by then so think that he might be a bit young for infrequent feeding. Was also worried about his water changes. The 55g will be done before we go away and my friend is going to take a couple of gallons off and add some aged water in there. The Fluval is so good that I have faith it will be ok for the 2 weeks. The little 10g with the fry in will have a filter working by then but as he is so small I am worried about her scooping him up. Feel like a new mom. I suppose 5 weeks from now he is going to be a whole lot bigger so am probably worrying prematurely. Any help with this neuroticism greatly recieved Mellie |
