Depends
Are they in a tank or in a pond? In my experience you must remove them ASAP, ie as soon as they stop spawning & before they get a chance to eat all their produce. My Fantails & Shebunkins spawned in October & there must have been hundreds if not thousands of eggs. I removed the pot plants that they spawned in to another area & now have so many I have NO idea what I will do with them when they reach a reasonable size. I also note that some fish grow faster than others...the shebunkins have got quite large, quite fast, but the fantails seem to take longer to grow, & some are a lot bigger than the others. Good luck Pat "mick_uk" wrote in message oups.com... Can anyone give me any tips on how and when to remove the adult fish after eggs have been spawned. thank you in advance, Mick |
