The water lettuce, I can understand preserving over the winter months in
some parts of the world, but not the duck weed! Do you really find it an addition to your goldfishes diet? Where I live (gods own county) it is a real problem controlling the growth of duck weed, even in tanks. At what point do you experience the last frosts in your part of the world? Do any other floating plants survive the winter outdoors? "Reel McKoi" wrote in message ... The water lettuce that spent the winter in the greenhouse is putting on new growth. In another month they'll go outside in the ponds and barrels. Those that spent the winter in the fishtanks in the sunroom are also increasing in size.
